Dressmaker Prototype 0.5.5: a separate patch history
Keep Dressmaker prototype fixes separate from Steam builds, including the 0.5.5 sleeve and skirt corrections and the known legacy skirt issue.
Official record. Reviewed 9 October 2026.
What is recorded for prototype 0.5.5?
The October 2025 log fixes the flounce-sleeve sketchbook sprite and the ruffle-skirt grainline/name. It also warns that older ruffle skirts can have panel-order problems while newly made ones are unaffected by that particular change.
Why are version numbers easy to confuse?
The prototype uses a 0.x version label; the Steam patches reviewed here use build numbers such as 403 and 410. A number that looks larger is not a conversion rule between those systems. Keep edition, date and build together in your notes.
How should you use an old fix?
Check that the affected feature and release match yours. A legacy skirt issue in the prototype does not explain every skirt problem in the full game. If you are unsure, preserve your existing save and ask through official support with the edition included.
