Dressmaker Buttons, bows and trims: plan your finishing pass

Plan a deliberate finishing pass in Dressmaker with a focal point, repeatable motif and front-and-back review rather than an invented accessory tier list.

What can you decorate with?

The official description identifies buttons, bows, appliqué and lace trims, alongside other accessories. Placement is a creative stage. This guide does not claim exact item statistics or unlock requirements.

How can you keep a design coherent?

Choose one focal point, such as a neckline, waist or hem. Put your strongest detail there. Repeat a smaller version elsewhere only if it helps the design feel connected. One recurring shape is often easier to read than many unrelated shapes.

A finishing review

  • Look at the front without zooming into individual details.
  • Check that the back has an intentional arrangement.
  • Look at the side view for crowded areas.
  • Ask whether removing one detail makes the result clearer.

This is a visual editing routine. It is not a minimum accessory count or scoring trick.

What should you do if a decoration seems misplaced?

Use the adjustment options documented in your current build. We have not confirmed a universal undo key, so consult the tutorial before assuming a shortcut works. Record a screenshot if you need to report an issue.

Coordinate the finish with your Fabric reference: choose a visual direction, keep the Dressmaker beginner guide: your first dress nearby, and see Troubleshooting and reporting a useful bug for bug-report advice.

Where are these features described?
